Cardboard Boat Building Regatta

The construction of a carton boat is one of the funniest and advanced activities a team can enjoy, where the use of unconventional materials to reach the final goal stimulates the imagination of the participants.

Each team should create a carton boat and complete a meter relay.
The activity underlines group work, the organization of the team and the importance of problem solving abilities.

Guests will be divided into working groups and will be followed by professional trainers. Using cardboard, masking tape and spray colors (for the “decoration” phase) they must build their boats to tackle the water test.

To declare the winning team, different features will be taken into consideration:

• working with the team,
• organizing the activity and sharing tasks;
• use of the available budget;
• attitude in elaborate a team strategy;
• success and final racing time during the navigation part;

The game:

Briefing: the activity starts with some ice breaking games, in order to get the participants a bit warmer… and take them in the team building experience

Furthermore, our assistants will divide the group in teams, explaining all the steps that the participants will be asked to follow

The goal is: build the best “boat” by using the material provided. First, the teams are asked to invent a name, sing a hymn and design their boat

Once the assistants will have approved the project, the teams can start and create the boat

One participant per each team can go to the special market and buy (using some virtual credits) materials in order to customize the boat

As soon as the time dedicated to the construction elapses, the team will be asked to show the result of their experience: the final race will close the game

The teams will be evaluated during all the steps of the activity, and – after the race – our assistants communicate the final ranking.

Should the Client have an easy ceremony with some awards, please consider that the prizes are not included

Carton car – The crazy race

This big challenge will see teams trying to achieve the creation of an impossible prototype: a machine made entirely of cardboard, able to move with an adult on board whilst being pushed by the others during the competition.

The goal is seemingly unattainable, resources appear inadequate to meet the challenge, the budget is small, the materials available are not enough.

To pass the test, each team will have to employ a good dose of creativity, imagination and experimentation, in a climate of great emotional involvement.

The winning team will be the one who reaches the best overall results, both in the active race part and in the presentation of the prototype.

The game:

Build your raft

The construction of a raft is one of the funniest and advanced activities a team can enjoy, where the use of unconventional materials to reach the final goal stimulates the imagination of the participants.

Each team should create a real raft and challenge the other teams completing a meter relay.

To declare the winning team, different features will be taken into consideration:

• ability to work with the team, organize the activity and share the tasks;
• use of the available budget;
• attitude in elaborating a team strategy;
• success during the final challenge.

Duration: 2 hours and more, depending on number of teams and additional activities.

Eco Design workshop: small nice eco-friendly furnitures

This course teaches you how to use the resources available to create unique objects, recyclable and eco-friendly.

In 3 hours you will learn how to convert your idea in a real object such us:

• Lamps
• Stools
• Coffee tables
• Bookshelves
• Speakers

Duration: about 3 hours
Participants: 15/20 people for each activity supervisor. Should the number of participants be higher, we’ll provide 1 assistant every 15 participants
Who is the Supervisor? The person holding the course is a designer, architect and professor of the Master of Interior Design at Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti (NABA)

Build your catapult!
The construction of a catapult is one of the funniest and advanced activities a team can enjoy, where the use of unconventional materials to reach the final goal stimulates the imagination of the participants.

Each team should create a real catapult and challenge the other teams launching the balls over the line.

To declare the winning team, different features will be taken into consideration:

• working with the team;
• organizing the activity and sharing tasks;
• use of the available budget;
• attitude in elaborate a team strategy;
• success during the final challenge;

Duration: from about 1h 30n minutes
This activity is suggested in combination with others as:  build a raft – carton boat – carton car – skills tests

Pasta and Marshmellow creations!

In this surprisingly fun activity, people and teams are asked to show their engineering and architectural skills using pasta and/or marshmallows to make astonishing and surprising creations!

Pressure test will follow: it aims to calculate the maximum weight the structure can bear.

The Lego world: team building ideas

The Lego World is so big and interesting, that all these small colored and nice pieces can be used not only by the kids, but also by the adults in one or more team building activities.

Lego Interaction

Lego InterAction is an indoor team building, extraordinary for its “constructiveness”!
It was designed to bring out through a “game” the classic situations that arise in a team management including: encouragement of creativity, common vision and inter-functional work, team behavior rules, communication quality within the team and across functions.

The purpose of this training is to provide participants, both at individual and group level, with the awareness of a Team’s success key factors.

A representative from each group receives partial instructions on what to do.

Dreaming the Ideal City

After some nice ice breaking games, the participants (in groups) will be given all the info needed to start!

Imagine yourself busy in the construction of the city of your dreams…monuments, hospitals, stadiums, shopping malls etc. In fact every team will be asked to work at a specific project: build an Ideal City, the city you dream without traffic, only green areas, nice homes. At the and of the game, you must present it to the other teams explaining your thoughts, suggestions, considerations… It’s a nice and big challenge to face with your team.
